Scottish Mountaineer and Author
After a mountaineering accident, Jamie Andrew lost his hands and feet. Not letting his losses overcome his passion, Andrew conquered the peaks of Ben Nevis in the British Isles and Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, despite not having his extremities. He now climbs peaks to raise significant funds for charity. His feats, such as his climb to the top of the Olympic stadium in London during the 14th Paralympic Games, have raised awareness about overcoming disability. In 2004, he published Life and Limb, becoming a strong voice of hope for handicapped people around the world.
