German Designer, Typographer, Writer, and Professor at the Berlin Arts University
As a graphic designer, author, and professor, Fons Hickmann has been a global leader in design. His eponymous studio in Berlin, Fons Hickmann m23, focuses on the design of complex communication systems, including the design of corporate communications, books, posters, typography, and digital media. Fons Hickmann and his studio organized the opening exhibition of the first graphic design museum in the world in Breda, Netherlands. The design agency has received over 200 international awards, including the German, European, and American ADC Awards, iF Gold Award, and the Joseph Binder Award. In 2012, the Trnava Poster Triennial honored Fons Hickmann with the Master’s Eye Award for his work. Recently, Fons Hickmann has become increasingly involved in publishing – from photography and media theory to football and pop-culture.
