Photojournalist Currently Documenting the Migration Crisis
Antonio Cossa has traveled around the world as a photojournalist. Though originally from Mozambique, Cossa has been a long time resident of the Czech Republic. As an independent photojournalist and member of the United Photo Press and the Association of Professional Photographers ČR, Cossa focuses his lens on major social events of our time. Some subjects include initiation rituals in isolated African tribes, the lives of Holocaust survivors, and Fátiman pilgrims of northern Portugal. He has also cooperated with UNICEF and the British Council. Currently, he is photographing the migration crisis along the Serbian-Hungarian border and the Slovenian-Austrian border. He has also photographed the crisis in Macedonia and the Greek island of Lesbos.
